CEL template appeal - Cancelled.

Just before the keeper was about to go on holiday for best part of a month the NTK arrived for an overstay(20-30mins) at a small 2hr free retail area(APNR) around a week before.

Keeper left the appeal to around day 25-28(on-line) using the standard blue template to ensure any future correspondence and POPLA appeal could get their full attention after the holiday.

Only communication from CEL is the cancellation less than 2 weeks later.

(Note to self: If going away for an extended period be more careful about timings at APNR sites as you could get the invoice while away and not have long on return to send off the first appeal)

Thanks guys,

keeping this forum active and up to date with the latest appeals and court defences is priceless.

Keep a copy of that cancellation safe.

Please help us now by complaining to your MP about this unregulated scam.

With an ANPR ticket, there is no tactical advantage in delaying the initial appeal to day 26 as the PPC will have already delivered their Notice to Keeper (NtK) having already acquired the RK's data from the DVLA.

Day 26 is tactically much more important where a ticket has been applied to the vehicle's windscreen in an attempt (a largely successul strategy to date) to distract the PPC from applying to the DVLA for the RK's data, instead working from the RK's name and address details provided in the template appeal. No DVLA access, no Keeper Liability!

Anyway .... well done on your success, good result. :T

There is if you are out of the country, with limited resources (eg.computers with big screen) want to enjoy a holiday and won't be back for a few weeks.

No point in setting the POPLA clock ticking while away.

    Yep, good point.

My input was more directed towards the newbie who might be casually reading random threads, many are confused by the 26 day tactic. Your explanation of the tactical delay in starting the POPLA timer will hopefully allow them to see an additional angle on this, although I suspect (not your fault in any way) many will still be none the wiser! :D
