Again? Methinks it's time to dump their card, as soon as the 4% offer runs out!0

LittleJo, the Capital One website was working OK at around 8pm on Sunday evening but when I tried to log-on to my account just after midnight it constantly went back to the home page. This was still the case at around 1.30am.
By Monday lunch time the system was working normally again. If the site was down for maintenance, I wish they would put up an onscreen notice to that effect. Perhaps they could also say how long the site is going to be down for.0 -
They've just rung me and cancelled my account due to the number possibly being compromised. Checked the last few transactions they are all mine. I now have to wait 7/10 working days for a new card.
I asked what about the 4% cashback I'm going to miss out on......the response was that I'd have to write to Customer Services and ask.....very helpful. I'll now have to put off my Christmas shopping until the card arrives.
They couldn't tell me why they thought the number had been compromised and just said it was fo my own security in case someone maxed my card to its limit.0 -
Yeah - had quite a few declined transactions. Written about 3 letters of complaint and got £2.62 refund for one of the declined transactions. Capital have blamed the "small number" of banks and merchants who have difficulty in updating their systems. Upside is that since we joined (In Sept) we have earned £200+. Downside is we have been declined at least 6 times now, last time in Hungary (dentist fees), and as a result have lost quite a few quid now. Sorry for the rant - yeah time to leave when the 4% runs out.0

Hi,
Landline number is 01159938002.
Saves a bit on 0845 charges.

People considering closing the card after the 4% cashback runs out should wait until the cashback is paid at least - at the end of January - or they will lose out entirely.
Anyway what's wrong with another '1%' card with no limit on the amount earned?
And the freephone number I use 0800 952 5150 (it's also on the card) does allow you to check balances - and it is often more up to date than their website is.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0
