IGNORE no longer an option? (UKPC)

Hi.
Sorry if this sounds stupid and naive, but I left my car in a car park and got a taxi home as had a drink, and then overslept the next day and got a ticket.
There’s no defending that.

My question however, is it wise to ignore them still?

A lot of my friends have said they ignored and they eventually went away, but I have a feeling that UKPC are bang on it now?

Has anyone been taken to court for just one parking ticket?...

Quite frankly I spent all my money on getting a taxi home! Part of me wishes I just drove home 😡

Thanks :)

At the top of this board is a thread that tells Newbies to read it first. Your question, and many others, are answered in that thread.

It also contains templates to use for your appeal.

    Not since 2012 it hasn't.

Maybe prior to 2012. Anything after that, especially more recent tickets, I don't think they should be crowing too loudly about ignoring any private parking charge. Tell them to come here and argue the toss with us if they wish!

Yes, but UKPC seem to concentrate on multi tickets. That's not to say they don't do/haven't done single ticket cases, but we are not privy to every legal move they make.

You might have been coming here asking how to worm out of a drink-driving charge! You have infinitely more prospect of avoiding the UKPC charge than a d-d one!

Time to read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 to understand what you're dealing with and how to do so.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Hahaha, don't make us laugh!

Read the NEWBIES thread & diarise to appeal as registered keeper online, on day 26 (reason for that day is explained in the sticky).
