Laptop repair in warranty but they say it isn’t.

I brought a laptop on the 14th of November 2017. I emailed Acer and they was useless so I rang up and they said it’s out of warranty. I brought it then so it isn’t out of warranty, I’ve got the bank statement to say the money went out my account, but they’re saying they need the receipt. I think I’ve misplaced it , can’t find it. Where do I stand with this, do I need the actual receipt? Once I went to Argos to take something back and they only asked to see the bank statement. Hope someone can help thank you!

Where did you buy it - you can sometimes get a copy receipt from say Currys etc. A bank statement isn't itemised - probably only shows the shop & the amount rather than exact details of your Acer laptop - in theory you could have bought anything for that amount.
Do you not have a warranty with the shop you bought it from - they're more likely to accept your bank statement or be able to trace your purchase in their record0 -
I brought it from Tesco , and they only gave 1 months warranty. Which is why I’m trying to get through to Acer. Would you advise ringing them up or going instore to see what they can do?0

Did you buy it in a Tesco store or online from Tesco Direct? Did you use your Tesco Clubcard as that might help them locate the transaction details.0

A manufacturer's warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and as such they can ask for any proof they wish.0

Nor to me.
OP I'm sure you maybe are confused with the 1 month warranty.
Have you tried asking Tesco to repair it ?
Take a.copy of the relevant bank statement with you.0 -

I think that the OP may have mis-interpreted this:Is your purchase faulty or damaged?
