Put in complaint to HSBC, sent via Resolver, included a copy of agreement clearly showing PPI. HSBC have rejected complaint as say there was no PPI on account. Goes back to 93 so getting Bank statements nigh on impossible, what are the chances of getting either bank statements or DD payment confirmation from bank with a SAR ?

Minima to zero.
But you'll only know for sure if you submit one.0 -
They are free now sar requests, do one, you may not get any joy but at least you will know and it won't cost you £10. .0

However, be aware that a copy of the Agreement is not definite proof that you continued to pay the PPI.
You could even have cancelled it completely within the cooling off period and therefore never paid a thing.0 -
Understood , will pursue the SAR and see if i can get some evidence of payments.0

I put a complaint in to HSBC for an account with Beneficial I had in the early 90s. Had no information whatsoever apart from the account number, got a payout of £17k, so definitely don’t give up!0
