DVLA Fine
A few issues so please stay with me.
I previously had a car and it was clamped for no car tax. For some reason my dads date of birth was on the V5 cert as registered keeper but at my address. To confuse things further soon after the clamping i moved house and sold the car.
All the information for the fine was delivered to my old house and never passed on to me. The first we have heard about it was an enforcement letter sent to my dad at his address saying that he is liable for the fine.
Now I completely accept the fine however the Court has said it is outstanding for too long and my Dad now has to appeal saying that he was not the registered keeper of the car.
Is there an easy way for the fine to be removed from him and charged against me as it was my car and my issue.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I think you've already answered it. You dad has to go to Court now (as its ben outstanding too long) to appeal saying he wasn't the RK and will then give evidence to back this up and name you in the process. The Court/DVLA will then chase you for this instead.
I could be wrong, but there is no easy/quick way, now its in the courts hands.0 -
Does your dad share the same name as you (forename(s) and surname)?0

V5Cs don't have the RK's date of birth on them. Just name/address.
So your father was the RK, at your address.
Your car was clamped for being untaxed, and you moved without updating the details.
DVLA have now caught up with the RK, who's denying he was the RK.
Surely the easiest solution here is for you to just repay him the money for the fine...?0 -
