Laptop advice

Can some wonderful person tell me if this laptop is a good deal.
It would be for my teenager to play/download music, do homework
and watch dvds etc

Yes, I'd say that's good value and will do everything you say and more.

You can buy it through Quidco and save a bit extra.

Is this by any chance the same laptop.. Spec looks slightly diferent but only marginal so not sure

memory 4 times the size on the tesco one - well worth the extra £60 - looks like a great deal esp if you go thru Quidco too!

Yes, it's the same laptop. The Tesco one has 2GB RAM and Vista Home Premium, so is better value, and 512 MB is a little low for running Vista.

We bought the one Tesco did last year at this time, also Acer and it has been a pain in the ****!!!

Though whether that's because there may have been downloads on it that I am unaware of, (16 y/o daughter's laptop).......(was covered by Norton though)...

not sure I would recommend.

Well hopefully will not have the problems you had as have just bought it , I will make sure there is security on it for when she downloads things though.

I also received 1300 points which I will use as £52 in clubcard deals. So for me a really good price.
