Quite. Another angry customer who confuses rights with demands and quotes stuff without understanding it.

These people are the reason places have defensive customer service practices. Too many chancers out there who think they know best.

If it is the mains plug why not chop the moulded one off and fit a new plug yourself or get someone to do it that knows what they are doing, hardly a major or expensive job.

Even easier - it's a two part cable, the mains lead up to the transformer is a standard easily replaceable cable, any friendly IT department will have a big box full of them (if they are organised enough to box them) if you ask nicely enough you could probably nab one for the price of a smile.
(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)

It's not unusual for plugs to be incorporated into the power supply. This is the case with my Lenovo laptop. There's no separate plug. If the plug broke the whole power supply would need replacing.

And at a cost of about £10 its hardly worth chasing Currys.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Out of curiosity, which model is that?
I'm looking at a Lenovo laptop right now and the power supply has a removable mains lead with a 3 pin U.K. plug fitted. However the 19/20V laptop supply lead is moulded into the power "brick".
I've never seen a Lenovo laptop with the 13A plug moulded into the power supply.
