Currys Return Issue

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to ask your advice -

I bought a surface pro from Currys in June and it developed a fault so contacted them via email and had no response, the next day I contacted them by phone and was told I need to contact Microsoft. Contacted them and was told it needed to go back to place of purchase. Got a generic email response 2 weeks after my initial email which did say they would respond within 72 hours.

I bought the item via PayPal credit and contacted them to dispute it for a refund as I was getting the run around. After 14 days Currys did not respond to the dispute and case was found in my favour, closed and money sent back to my pp credit account

I them asked PayPal what to do about returning the item and was advised that there were no return instructions and to do nothing. I however emailed Currys on 31st August and told them I had been refunded and wanted to return the item and have had no response.

It is sitting in my wardrobe at the moment and unsure what to do?

I would send one final e-mail to Currys stating exactly what has happened and advise them (again) that you have their item and that you wish for them to arrange for it to be collected and give them a time and date that is suitable for you and make sure that you keep a copy of this e-mail.


If they don't respond, don't do anything further but just keep hold of the unit and store it safely until they do decide to contact you again.
