Few months ago my ex transferred money into my account since then we broke up however I would still like to pay her back. On my mobile banking app I can see the transaction from when she paid me but only her name can’t see her bank account : sort code , is there a way to get this? Maybe on a full statement, or by going into my bank and asking the account and sort code from which that deposit came from?

post her a cheque
I don’t have a cheque book, just looking for easiest option she paid me so isn’t there a way I can simply pay back, like if someone calls you usually you see the number, so isn’t there a way I can reverse the payment or find the bank account number from which the money was transferred from and then just add her as a new payee ?0 -
Why don't you just ask her for her bank details and set her up as a new payee? Payments in don't include any details other than the senders name.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. That's ok if you don't have a cheque book simply contact your bank and ask them to send you one it will be with you within a week or so you can then write a cheque and have the rest of the chrque book left in case you ever need to use one in the future. simple!0

Bank statements don't usually show the sort code and account number of the account a payment was sent from.
Your bank will have the details. They may not be available to customer services and they may not be willing to give them to you if they are.
Pre-paid card Loot, and a few others using the Wirecard back-end, are the only ones I've seen display the senders sort code and account number.
You could send the money as a gift to her mobile phone number or email address using PayPal. There's no fee.
If she doesn't have a PayPal account already she'll have to create one to collect the money. If she doesn't collect it within a month it's transferred to your PayPal account. You can them move it back to your bank account.0 -

Ever heard of a telephone? They are really good, you pick it up, dial the person's number and speak to them, this might help you, if they want their money back then they will surely give you ways to pay them back.0
