Britannia Parking NTK received

Thanks LoneStarState & Coupon-Mad.
A bit to digest here, which I will do before coming back if I have any more considered questions. First thoughts are that I'd prefer not to submit the whole appeal just in case it somehow re-opens the 'case'(?) but rather to contact POPLA telling them the charge has been cancelled and see what they say. And simultaneously send Britannia the data erasure notice ...... Seven years?! For heaven's sake .... talk about disproportionate!0 -
In the light of something I read on this forum earlier today, I'm editing my post to give particular thanks to Coupon_Mad. People like her demonstrate just how useful a tool the internet could and should be. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable and rigorous, but she has the people skills to gauge just how much help people need whether that's a nudge to be more self-reliant or rather more guidance. I read hundreds of posts to educate myself and again and again her dedication impressed me enormously.
Update: yesterday I phoned POPLA asking them to confirm that I do not need to appeal a parking charge that no longer exists. They told me they could not advise on this matter but to contact Britannia and/or the CAB. I then emailed Britannia asking them to provide their confirmation that the charge has been cancelled.
As they hadn't replied when I woke up, I set to work knocking my POPLA appeal into even shinier shape. Every time I look at evidence I find something more to add. This time it was that with the aid of a magnifying glass, the slight fuzziness on each of the NTK vehicle images is in fact date / time stamps corresponding with the parking period given. Yet the images show the car entering and exiting the archway that leads to the car park so that knocks a couple of minutes off the parking period. This sort of thing now excites me so much!
However ..... Britannia have just responded to my email saying: 'Please be aware that Parking Charge Notice (number: xxxxxx) has now been cancelled and no further action will be taken concerning this matter.' They apologise for any inconvenience. Sweet. I am not going to submit the POPLA appeal now. And if there is any more nonsense heaven help 'em.
I haven't submitted the data erasure notice yet, but I will do that today.
Massive thanks for all your help!!0
