Curry's or courier have damaged our TV

We took our TV (65" Hisense) into store for repair as it was approx 10months old on 16Sep. The fault was it couldn't be switched on, either by the remote or with the button on the side of the TV & there was definately power to the TV.
I have had updates from Teamknowhow on a number of occasions by text, stating that there was a part out of stock & they were waiting for it to come in.
I had a call today from the engineer at Teamknowhow asking what the fault was as there was no problem switching it on. So he suggested it may have been a software fault that has now rectified itself. He then told me the part they were waiting for was the edging / casing to the TV as it was damaged being transported from Curry's to Teamknowhow. My concern is that my TV has been damaged and fixed for a different fault, will I get some form of warranty and also if the original fault comes back will i have any warranty on that over and above the initial 12months.

TIA

You will have to ask them what warranty you have on the new repair. If the original fault comes back you need to refer to the terms of the warranty to ascertain if you are covered or not.

Your warranty and your consumer rights are separate.

As the item is over 6 months old your consumer rights would expect you to prove the fault was inherent. As Curry's haven't been able to replicate it (by the sounds of it) then it may be something you aren't keen to investigate. If you did, you would have to have an independent report on the TV, the report would be at your cost although depending on the result it may be that Curry's have to reimburse you.
