At 60,000 gas kwh s per year Please check for an imperial/metric mess up. That would reduce it to a normal high usage 20,000 kwhs a year which is bad enough but quite common for someone who likes a warm house from September to May.
In my job I met an elderly lady who had meen mis billed for several years with the same supplier mess up with the gas meter billed as an Imperial when she had a metric meter..
Most people seem to spot it within 6 months but some just assume its correct and don t question it.
Having said that I have been in larger properties with full GCH but were also using gas fires as well. That alone would more than double a gas kwh usage
The electricity usage appears to be normal, on the high side but not unusual. Three of my close friends with 3 bed houses all use over 5000 electric kwhs a year
  • Thank you all for your replies. The gas meter is metric so I will definitely check with SP that they are taking that into account when calculating the bills.

The meter information will be shown on a downloaded bill.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

Easier than that, simply divide the number of kWh billed by the number of meter units billed. 11 = metric, 32 = imperial.
