Ive been having some problems with the locking on my Vauxhall Zafira, so someone suggested re setting the key fob, now i think its by putting it in the ignition and pressing the button.
Now i have tried this, but nothing has happened, but then, im not entirely (sp) sure ive done it right, so i was hoping someone could tell me what i should actually do.

Ignition on
Doors/windows closed
Press lock button on key
Doors should lock, then unlock on their own
Reset done
If not, try the battery...0 -
I had to have new fobs for my zafira. My (independent) mechanic did try a way by putting it in the ignition and doing something to try and 'wake it up' so there is a way, but sorry I can't remember anymore.0

But to be honest, most Vauxhall remotes come apart inside and need some soldering doing...0

Wow. Luck enough to find this post before heading to my local garage. This actually worked on my Vauxhall Astra.0 -
dont normally work on the cars that have alarms only the ones with central locking0

It always works on Vauxalls. Regardless of an alarm fitted.
If it doesnt work then you need to solder some joins uo in the key fob0
