Construction/Self Build Insurance advice please

Hi all, hoping you can help;
We set up a ltd company a few years ago when we renovated a property (for us to live in). My husband was self employed but contracting for a national company and it worked out best to put his income and the build costs through the ltd company.
We are now planning on building a house (to sell) on land we own. My husband is now employed but we still have the ltd company ticking along in the background.
We need to get site/build insurance for the new house. We will use self a employed contractor (has his own insurance), bring in relevant trades as and when needed, plus my husband will do some of the work at weekends. My role is admin/secretary/accounts/making tea.
I was going to get self-build insurance but as we will be building under the ltd company do we need Builders insurance??
Any advice would be appreciated - thanks

As it is in effect a business venture a normal self build policy will not be sufficient, you need a business policy.
You may find the self build broker you used before can assist you.0 -
If you are looking to do the project as a `one off` then self build insurance would still be the correct route. www.selfbuildinsure.co.uk will be able to help with that.
If you are looking to more in the future you will need contract works cover. If you speak to a broker they should be able to source that easily for you.0 -

And again, do you have an interest to declare?0 -

I have no idea who that is. I don't own a company I work for an insurer dealing with fraud. As I said just using my 20 yr plus experience in different jobs.
I suggest you make better use of your time.0
