affects on tax credits of combining a household

I am disabled and work 16 hours per week and get working tax credit and a disability top up. I am getting to the stage where I cannot live alone due to needing help and support. I am considering selling my home and buying a property with my parents. They are in receipt of pension credit. Would this combining of a household cause any issues with either my WTC or their pension credit? I understand the deductions in pension credit due to savings may be applicable if we have money left over but is there anything else? Any help appreciated. Thanks

For benefits purposes you would remain a single claimant and they would remain a couple so your separate benefits should be unchanged other than in respect of any incidental changes in circumstances that may result such as the possible changes in capital you refer to.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

Is this a good idea? Your parents are ageing and in the normal course would predecease you - what happens then?

Is the idea that you and your parents will sell your existing properties and buy outright as joint tenants?

Thank you for your responses. My dependant son would also live with us and we would be moving near to our extended family for additional support (at their request). Yes our intention would be to sell our existing separate properties and purchase one as joint owners. I will have a read of the links. Thank you.0
