Increasing Credit Limit

in Credit cards
Hi
I've recently applied for a credit card with 0% interest to transfer the balance from another card charging a high interest rate. The problem is that the balance I need to transfer is £3,200 and Nationwide have offered me a limit of £2,500. I know I could keep the other card going until it is paid off but I would prefer the whole balance to be in the same place so I don't have to keep making 2 payments to 2 different cards. Do you think Nationwide would increase my limit?
Thank you!!

You could phone and ask them if they would increase the limit, but when i was in a similar situation, got another 0% card. You may have to wait a few months before they would raise the limit though - and i'm not sure if you would be able to do a 0% BT after 90 days. You'd need confirmation of that as usually the BT must be within 90 days of getting the card. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
I would say no,they will not increase the limit. You are more likely to be successful with another card application if this is not successful then you will still be in the situation you are in now so you have nothing to lose by applying for a second 0% card except the BT fees of course.
If you are unsure keep with what you already have and concentrate on reducing the highest limit first.
Good luck.Previously known as Bokken, registered at MSE in Nov 04,computer glich deleted my access but it is fun building up my stars from scratch,again.:D0
