Hi
I had a letter through the post for parking in a car park and having no permit - I actually parked in a space with a sign saying "customer parking for Rosy's" ( I later found out that Rosy's had closed down a few weeks before that ticket was issued). I read the newbies forum and copy and pasted the standard template letter which has come back as a refusal.
The refusal letter has some issues with it - they have quoted the wrong PCN number, they have said that I admitted I was driving (which I didn't) and that my opportunity to use IAS has now passed and that the Notice to Driver affixed to the vehicle provided all necessary info (I had nothing attached to the vehicle I only received a Notice to Keeper letter in the post)
They also put some info in disputing the templates mention of Parkingeye Limited vs Beavis.
I have been reading the newbies forum but am a bit unsure as to how to proceed or where/how I can now appeal or what to do?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Ignore them, same as any IPC firm thread you care to read. There is no appeal, there was no appeal and IAS was not a valid/fair appeal option anyway!
Come back if they try a small claim, and you can see how likely that is by looking at post #2 of the NEWBIES thread, all about court stage and where it also explains where to check with the BMPA/PADI website, for any PPC and whether they ever try court.
I don't recall this lot doing anything, but if they did, we win court defences almost every time.
I would get photos of that space now, in case the signs change again (sounds likely) and just ignore them now, and any daft ZZPS and 'QDR Solicitors' debt collection demands.
Apart from getting photos of that sign, laugh at the letters but keep them in a file marked scam.
Search the forum for each letter you get, by name of the sender, you will find everything has already been discussed 10 times over every week!
Court claims are shown in the sticky thread, along with defences, and everyone has a case against scumbag parking firms. No risk, no CCJ, no bailiffs, nothing as long as you do not ignore an actual court claim, and as long as you write to tell your pet scumbag IPC parking firm(!) if you move house within 6 years...to avoid the nasty surprise these scam firms dish out to people by serving claims, years later, at an old address.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
