tried twice to change mums landline to post office & each time its been rejected by EE who are the current provider, the EE account which included tv,broadband & landline is in my brothers name who was living with mum at the time ,he is no longer living there as he was abusive to mum & the police where involved to get him out of her flat ,our problem is we know at some point he will have landline cut off as he was paying for it,but mum has a lifeline that works through her landline & we cant afford to be disconnected. at the moment she is in a carehome till a care package is sorted out so we need the phone line taken over before she comes out. I have spoken to EE & explained the situation I realise they cant give me any details about the account but they say when I ring them there is no problem there end swapping over then post office say it is EE problem EE say its post office problem.

Why not get a new line installed and leave the the existing in the brothers name?0

pick someone else, not post office. (who aren't great)
Try BT if NO internet is required.
Try plusnet or NowTv if internet is required
With you keep ringing EE up, they may have put notes on the account0
