BW Legal

Back in June, I parked in a Visitors Bay to view a new property on a new development, when I returned I had received a Parking charge Notice. I appealed and never received a reply, A few months later I received a letter from Link Parking saying I have to Pay £100 as they received no response. I called them to advise this, as well as emailed back saying I never received the appeal. Their response was basicly we rejected your appeal and want £100. I emailed back saying, if the appeal was rejected then fair enough, Although I feel unfair to charge me £100 because I never received the letter. fast forward a few months, I now have received a letter from BW Legal asking for £160 on behalf of link Parking, I called and explained, they are not interested and just want £160. I asked them to escalate this to court as I feel the additional charges are unfair, they call me at least three times a week, and I go over the same story. I was getting fed up with the calls so I emailed them advising them that I will now be charging for my time. They wrote back saying that they will not be paying any charges as they do not recognise my charges, I wrote back saying I do not care. Yesterday I received a Call from Craig (Very Rude) I asked them to stop calling me as this is harassment and that I am charging for my time. Craig laughed and said you wont win. I explained again and asked them to please just refer this to court and we will let the judge decide. Craig then said this is going to cost you a fortune in the long run, you are better off just paying the £160. I will not be bullied into this. I want a Judge to look at this. Today, I received an email from Clearscore saying my Credit file is ready to look at. I logged on and see that BW Legal have done a Credit Search on me on the 27th September. What are they doing? - I would appreciate any help. many thanks

they call me at least three times a week,

Why not ask their regulatory body if they condone this practice.

    http://www.sra.org.uk/solicitors/handbook/code/content.page

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.
    for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the House of Commons recently

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.

What you must remember is that until a judge
in county court says you owe the money, there is no debt

You certainly don't have a debt with BWLegal, they are
only acting on behalf of the PPC.
BWLegal has no reason or right to explore your credit file
which as they know puts a footprint on your file and if
others look at your file for loans etc, the words BWLegal
could ring a danger bell for lenders.
Other lenders probably will not know that BWLegal is
    a trash low life company

BWLegal might say that they are trying to establish
    your current address
Depends if this was a soft search or hard search which
could expose you to a data breach

With regards to these idiots phoning you on a regular
    basis ...
1: Block them on your phone
2: I you cannot do that, the moment you
know it is them, put the phone by the radio or TV
and let them waste their time
3: Ask them for their first and third letter of their username
and fourth and tenth digit of their password
    (or whatever combination)

You complain the SRA about the bad conduct of one
    their members

REMEMBER, there is no debt until a court says so

This Craig bod sounds like a right nutcase
