Is £10k too much for a catering pitch central Bristol??

  • Have I missed something - if you cannot afford a coffee van, why would you pay £10k for a space in which you are allowed to sell coffee?

Rather than just passing by on the way to your office, you need to spend a whole day (at least) sat there watching exactly how many customers he gets and how many cups of coffee he sells.

You then need to work out a business plan - turnover, costs profit - and decide whether it will be worth it.

Based on average profit of £1.87 per cup (as given above) you need to sell 5,347 cups of coffee before you even cover the cost of the pitch. Say you trade on 300 days a year, the first 17 cups of coffee brewed and sold each day will be just to cover that initial cost.
