Parking Eye/ Stirling Park

Good evening, after overstaying our parking time and ignoring two parking tickets from Parking Eye, we have received a final demand letter from a debt collection agency Stirling Park who are ironically owned by the same company who own Parking Eye.
Everyone says this is unlikely to be pursued in Scotland but the letter quotes a case where a woman in Scotland lost her case and was fined £24,000..... has anyone come across this and if so, what advice can you offer?

yes we have , that woman was an admitted DRIVER so could not hide
there is no KEEPER liability in Scotland, no POFA2012, so a keeper says nothing and IGNORES everything except an LBC or a claim under the simple prodedure rules in Scotland
PE have 5 years to issue a court claim using that simple procedure

the NEWBIES sticky thread at the top of this forum (3rd thread down) has advice for people in Scotland , please read it0 -

Stirling Park are just bog standard debt collectors who
in the parking scam have no clout whatsoever.
In the south PE use another of their fold called Equita
to try and scare people with rubbish.
Carli was that lady, she collected multi tickets and
told them she was the driver which is magic news
for a parking scammer
Rule of thumb in Scotland is NEVER name the driver
and there is nothing they can do
PE know this so it's scare tactics
This is something you should make your friends and family
aware about ..... tell them to boycott any Parking Eye run car park0 -

The PPC picked on her case because of the money and as a trophy case for the parking industry 'pour encourager les autres'.
Don't worry about it, don't be 'encouraged' to pay like 'les autres'!
Stirling Park, and Equita letters, tell you that PE will not pursue it, but for peace of mind, complain to the retailer/landowner, NOW, and insist on the scam being cancelled or you will never return (particularly useful leverage if a shopping car park).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
