I thought the judge would have awarded them everything however, there is a twist...

3 of the tickets I had stated I was stopped to load and unload as I was outside of my halls of residence, the Judge then stated on the degree of probabilities, he believed I was being polite & genuine in my conduct, and that he believed I truly was stopped to load and unload as I had stated.

He then cancelled two of the PCNs in its entirety!

However, for each charge he reduced the cost from £100, down to £80 as UKPC had included in their evidence pack a sign from 2012 which should a charge of £80, as Abdullah Yaqub (UKPC Legal Advisor) stated in his witness statement that all the signs are currently present on the university campus, however this one was not actually present and contradicted all the other signage present in the case evidence pack, the Judge was not happy with this and put both tickets down to £80.

All in all, Judge Parker then awarded the claimant £160 plus their fixed costs of £210. So £350 altogether.

Wow! Much better news than I thought!

I personally count this is a major win.
I agree, and re the two cancelled PCNs I can happily say:

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST after all! (in fact two!). :T

The initial charges had them wanting me to pay £770 plus their costs. Looking at their schedule of costs, this would amount to almost £1300. The fact that I have to pay a quarter of that instead really makes me think of this loss, as a win. Especially now that I never have to deal with this nonsense again.
Nice one. You did prevail then. The disabled bay one and the other one where you admitted to parking not loading, were hard to escape from so you argued your case very well.

Not quite the lost case you said it was!
I'd like to thank everyone on this forum for their help over the last few years, I've learnt a lot and now I would like to try and give back!
Do stick around, lots of people do. Please post advice on threads where you see something you know the answer to, and stay with us here. You've seen it's a chatty forum and always busy!

And you've been to court more than I have (never) although I have offered to attend Sussex cases if people want my help and if I am free.

That’s a super report @FutureTrunks, albeit conveying a bittersweet outcome.

But as you say, looking at the glass half full (or maybe three quarters full), you’ve managed to get their outlandish demands chopped back by almost £1,000, and, I bet it cost them more than the £350 they’ve gained today.

Well done on having the bottle to face up to one of the nastiest predators of the whole hunting pack let loose to roam the streets, residential blocks, retail parks, hospitals and university campuses of this country.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You also won five at POPLA as per your first post, and had 9 PCN scams to beat:
During the year I was there, I had received a total of 9 tickets (stupid, I know). However, for each ticket that I received, I followed the advice given on the newbies thread and appealed to POPLA. In total I had sent 6 appeals to POPLA; I had won 5 of these with the appeal pack I had provided, however I lost one because the adjudicator had asked me for more evidence within 7 days, however I was unable to provide an update to my appeal at that time as I was out of the city and did not have access to my emails, and as I did not respond to whatever they had asked for, the PPC had won this appeal.

Well done, two lost out of nine is pretty damn good!

I agree. Even if you restrict advice to just UKPC cases where every person you help avoid their clutches, loses UKPC money. You could (mentally) chalk off every £100 against your £350 until you become ‘in profit’.

I started on this forum when ParkingEye decided to try to squeeze £100 from one of my own. Big error on their part. I guess I’ve cost them thousands, as well as similar amounts for many of the others in this sordid world.

100%, I truly classed this as a win as I walked out of the courtroom. I guess it's a shame that the Judge viewed my points on RoA and the signage not providing an actual contractual offer the other way around, but I guess going to court is always a lottery

Precisely, I fully class this as a win and now I feel like I can learn more in order to help others.

Haha I've already helped 3 others appeal their PCNs successfully, one for UKPC and 2 for ParkingEye. I've caught the bug

Keep up the good work please.

Shame you lost on some but UKPC were the biggest loser

I like to see the £60 scam rubbish attempt being thrown out

Not a good day at the office for UKPC
