Santander 123 vs Lite, are my sums right?

I have had a 123 account for years & moved most of my money to a Marcus account recently. How easy would it be for me to downgrade my Santander 123 account to a Santander Everyday Current Account and keep the same account number?

Anyone done this?



I do not want to pay any fees at all.

Is it possible to transfer the DD of my utilities and mobile bill(in my name) to my partner's account? Should a DD be set up from a bank account in the name of the account holder itself?

From personal experience it all depends on the provider. The majority are fine but some do not allow it.

Did this over the phone last week Took about 20 mins as they have to read you all the T and C's Within 5 mins the account had been renamed on my internet access and next day the final interest added, Account number and sort code, DD, SO and payee details remained the same.
