Working tax credit debt recovery of universal credit?

Hi

So basically I was untill June 2018 on working tax credit and have been signed off long term sick on universal credit :( I am on the basic rate of universal credit and I see that on the statement for my next payment they basically want to take £80 off as they overpaid my working tax credit (apparently :/ ) I was wondering though as this is seriously going to affect me as I only get £250 every five weeks is there any way I can at least put off the debt repayment for another five weeks or stagger the payments? I know it sounds bad and I really hope to find another job soon, but if they take this payment then I am going to be seriously struggling for the week :( does anyone have any ideas how I would go about sorting this...

Give the debt recovery office a call and discuss the situation, the number should be on the letter they've sent you. They've always been reasonable in my experience unless you suggest ignoring the debt!
