Best way to use AMEX points

Hi All,
So my free year with Amex gold is coming to an end and i would like to use the 30,000 points i have accumulated in the account. It seems using them for direct product purchases/vouchers is a bit silly as the points value is basically zilch. does anyone know the most efficient way to use the points? i wouldnt mind doing some traveling but there are so many partner airlines and i dont know which one offers the best deals. any help would be most appreciated!

It almost impossible to give a general answer as it really depends on where you are and what you are looking to do. If you're London based, BA will give you the most options for flights. However, you need to take into account that reward seats are limited and there is no guarantee that you'll be able to book reward seats on specific flights. I convert most of my points to Avios and usually manage to get at least 1p/Avios value so 30k reward points would be worth about £300 to me.0
