It takes approximately 5 weeks for the first payment of UC, as the claim was only made "around" 14th Sept then she wouldn't receive payment yet.

Any JSA payments she would have received after starting the UC claim will be deducted from her UC. Carers allowance is £64.30 per week yes but UC is paid monthly, so £274 per month taken from her UC for the Carers allowance, is correct. A carers element of UC should then be added to her UC and this payment is £156.45 per month. The fact that she gives you £25 per week will make no difference to the amount of money she can claim.

She should put all her details into a benefits calculator and it will tell her how much she can claim.

    I would expect UC reduction for Carer's Allowance to be £279.93/month (£64.60/week x 52 weeks / 12 months).
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
  • She hasn't declared herself as a carer on her UC claim OR her caring activity has not yet been verified by UC. She should phone the UC number.

Some of the dates in original post seem wrong.

As has been said, your daughter has not had the caring activity verified by Universal Credit. The UC carers element pays about £156 per assessment period. If this was added, it would not make much difference for the first month on UC, because of the JSA overlap deducted and the carers allowance deduction. Someone will no doubt calculate how much would be due with the carers element added.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
