I bit the bullet and have just rang hmrc. The lady was amazing, I explained everything to her, albeit in a flustered, stressed out kinda way and she gave me a lot of information. I'm still not 100%, but certainly I feel less stressed.
PS. I know what you mean sunny, my dad had an incapacity to esa assessment years ago and that became a right mess. We ended up at a tribunal which we won the appeal, but not until after it had taken its toll on both my dad and myself, I dare say that's why I get so stressed and anxious when brown envelopes come through the door.
Sometimes society today seems to be "judge and condemn before any truth told".
