I don't want to get a 123 account (even the lite one). My household bills are low enough that I'd barely generate any cashback and the DDs are better placed where they are on higher interest/reward current accounts. I'd consider it for a 5% regular saver but not for a 3% one.

You don't need DDs on 123 lite to qualify for the 3% RS.

After the disappointment dies down, I'm still having to drive 17 miles, fight city centre traffic & parking issues to get VM's 3%... so I'll take 3% at Santander with a few clicks, thank you very much.

Have opened a First Direct reg saver (need to be a current account customer). 5% and up to £300 a month contribution.

Not being a FD customer I would do a switch to them to get that but don't want any of the "gifts" they now offer instead of cash :(

PS...although at the rate I'm depleting multiple legacy 123 acs for better deals elsewhere I won't be doing it for much longer...

You must be crazy having a VMs 3% regular if you go to the branch 12 times a year to fund it.

How much does the travel and parking cost?plus the stress and time .

Just to get £40 a year? So £3 quid a month or each 17 mile trip.

I fund my VM regular with a standing order why dont you?

Same here and the account is in my wife's name and she doesn't earn enough for the HSBC offering. They refused her application even though we could have easily paid in the required amount.

    Doe s it say I go 12 times a year? If I did do that it'd be 13 times, but I don't. You've got a vivid imagination.

You don't need to switch to them to have access to the regular saver, just opening their current account suffices....

Yes I know but worth doing a switch as I'm not a customer to get an extra bonus, just frustrating it's not cash anymore

Join, get the gift, then flog it on Facebook/ebay/gumtree for around £100.
