British gas smart meter question

Hello

I'm baffled as to how the British gas smart meter reader works for daily, weekly and monthly figures... For example

Daily - 5.40
Weekly - 16.59
Monthly - 32.93

My daily is nowhere near this figure and is more like £1.08 if you track it throughout the day.

Also under the billing tab it says

From - 24/09
To - today
Total - 16.76

So it's suggesting in a week that I have used £16.76 which is not true. Is this figure a figure of usage and direct debit leaving an in credit figure or something??

Cheers
