Joint Bank Account with Overseas Patner

Hi there

Does anybody know of any banks which will allow you to open a joint account with someone who does not have a UK address?

Most UK banks will require proof of UK or European address before you are able to open an account. Those with European address are typically only able to open basic accounts - you don't specify the nationality of your partner, which is potentially important to the answer to your question.

App-based banks like Monzo/Starling are typically a good start for those with limited UK address history, as they need only a UK postal address, rather than formal proof of UK address. Starling does offer joint accounts, which I would recommend. Otherwise you could open a joint basic account with any of the UK banks that offer them, if your partner would be eligible.
