Britannia PCN

This is my first post here but I need help.
We parked in a Britannia car park in Poole and were in a rush so paid for a ticket, put it in the car and walked away. 10 days later, I received a PCN to say we failed to make a valid payment. I appealed online and said we had paid. However the issue is I can't find any money which was taken out of my account so I think the payment didn't go through. However a ticket was printed out so I put it in the car, without checking it. Of course I no longer have the ticket and have no proof of payment.
Do I have any grounds here or should I just pay the £60??

Obviously you don't pay Britannia or any private parking firm (except for the tariff you think you paid). Could you have paid it by cash?
You haven't even tried POPLA stage yet, and we don't even tell people to pay after that either, if they are a rare case lost! See the NEWBIES thread 3rd post, all about POPLA, and use the templates.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
