bulk direct debit switch without closing account

Hi
is there a way to do a mass switch of my DDs to another account? Rather than painstakingly contacting the individual organisations one by one?

You can ask the banks concerned if they still support the partial switch service that predated the full Current Account Switching Service. The latter unavoidably closes the donor account but the former doesn't....

A partial switch (assuming both banks support it) would do the job here, as mentioned. A full switch using the CASS would also do the trick, but will close the donor account which isn't what you are looking for. The other option, as you've already mentioned, would be to do it individually by contacting each organisation - I've done this before and it was a proper faff, so I wouldn't recommend that route.

If you're doing this for the cash incentive, usually to get the cash they require a full switch which means your old account has to be closed.
