Whose address is it, a family member?
I am toying with telling you to ignore the claim as it wasn't served and won't affect you anyway.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The address was where we lived. We were renting a house and then after we moved, had the Royal Mail forward our post for a few months. We don't know who lives at the house currently and have no other address in the UK.
I really appreciate everyone's support in this. Just don't want to have my entry into the UK blocked when I need to return for work or if we want to visit friends that we made here.0 -

Haha, we can put your mind at rest. The scammers have zero powers! This cannot happen.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you all for your input. So in this case would ignoring the county court papers be the suggest course of action?0

You can either ignore them as there is nothing they can do to a foreign resident or if you are wary of doing that (for some reason I don't fully understand people seem to hate ignoring things) you can complete the paperwork to contest jurisdiction.
As above the latter costs £100 which you should be able to claim back.0
