Connecting washing machine outlet pipe

Had my washing machine moved at the beginning of the year into a large cupboard by my plumber.
Went to unload it after a wash and noticed about 2 litres of water around the base. Pulled it out and noticed that the outlet pipe had come out of the waste pipe. In its original place the outlet pipe went 50cm down into the waste pipe and was fixed there.
It turns out that in the new place the outlet pipe is only slightly smaller than the waste pipe and so only went in by maybe an inch but was held in place by some duct? tape. It’s been fine for about 100 washes but need to find a way of sucuring it more securely as can’t having it flooding the place.
Not sure if anyone is familiar with the style of outlet pipe but it’s from a Miele WKH122.
I thought that a metal cable tie might work but looking at it you’d need 2 connected together... 1 on each pipe if that makes sense.
Any thought or advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Is it this type of hose clip you need? It screws to the wall and holds the hose loop in place.

Yes, already have one of those but the outlet pipe is to big to fit down the waste pipe by more than a inch or so.0

You refer to this man as your plumber, but surely you mean your ex-plumber or the plumber you are going to sue for any damage caused and for the cost of repair?
What he's done is the most outrageous bodge. It sounds like he did not use wide enough plastic pipe, then did not bother to change it when he realised his mistake. (A picture would help to confirm this.)
The idea that he held it together with duct tape is simply amazing.
You need a new pipe - fitted by a new plumber. Or possibly one of these:No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
So instead of using 1 and 1/4 inch pipe for the outlet he's used some sort of plastic overflow pipe?0

Not a plumber but I think so. There is a sloping horizontal pipe with a connector the adds a 50cm? vertical pipe. The issue is that that pipe only allows the outlet hose to insert by an inch or so. Obviously not perfect but if there was a way to clamp the 2 together then that would solve the he problem. It’s worked with the tape for nearly a year but wanted a more permanent solution.
There is a back story to this and in fairness to my plumber I have to accept part of the blame.0 -
Can you not dry the pipes off and use some mastic to temp glue the two pipes together till the installation is done correctly,i only sugest this to give you use of your washer as you probably use it nearly every day.0

Screwfix sell extra long washing machine waste hoses

They also sell a joiner that lets you join together two waste hoses.

They also sell a kit that lets you create a washine machine entry point onto any 32mm or 40mm waste pipe.(This is a pretty easy DIY job, you only need an extra screwdriver)

If so there is no effective way of clamping the washing machine hose as being on the inside of the pipe it will just squash down rather than clamping on.
You need to get the waste pipe changed to meet the requirements specified by the washing maching manufacturer - this would almost certainly require a much larger diameter waste pipe with a trap, or a sink connector as per GDB2222's post.
Also, you mentioned in the original position the hose went about 50cm into the waste pipe. This is probably too far in as you need to have an air gap between the end of the washing machine outlet hose and any water in the waste pipe. This prevents water in the waste pipe being syphoned back into the washing machine... which could have some very unpleasant results.
If replacing the waste pipe is not feasible for the time being then you could (as a slightly less bad bodge) consider gluing the washing machine hose inside the waste pipe. UPVC solvent cement might bond to the plastic (but not rubber) part of the washing machine hose giving a marginally stronger join than the existing duct tape, but I would stress that I'm not recommending you do this as it is (a) a bodge and (b) risks the join failing* again and your home being flooded. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and get the job done properly.
(*the plastic the washing machine hose is made from is an unknown, solvents or glue might make the plastic go brittle and break in use, there is no way of predicting what might happen)"In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
