I've now received a letter from CSB Solicitors to prepare for possible legal proceedings, [/B

    How much do they want?

If you feel that this firm, which is known unfavourably to us, has stepped one inch outside their Code of Conduct

please report them to their regulatory body.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • The latest letter i've received is from UCS again stating that they have recommended their creditor to take legal action. They have offered the chance to pay a one off payment of £120 - they say by this offer they are complying to the court with 'practice direction on pre-action conduct and protocols'

Would it be easier to just pay this amount than risk it going to court? This is causing me a lot of stress!

Easier? Yes of course it would.

Please let us know if you do decide to do that.
  • Decided to ignore the last letter after reading similar threats so I may be back on for advice if I get a letter from court!
  • hey any update on this ?

The poster hasn’t been anywhere near this forum since 7 December. We presume that he hasn’t had ‘a letter from court’ yet.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
