Bought something that i wanted delivering to a different address.
I changed the address on ebay and made 100% sure i chose that for the delivery address. Added a message to the seller also to confirm the correct delivery address.
Reading a thread on here about postage had me wondering if the seller would automatically see the ebay address or whether i should have changed addresses in paypal also?
Also when i selected the item i had bought it says no message was sent to the seller, is this a bug?
Thanks

Only the PayPal address matters, nothing else. You should be able to see on your PayPal payment which address has been picked up, as that is almost certainly where item will end up.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I believe, but not sure as I don't sell anymore, that the address that matters most to a seller is the confirmed address in Paypal.
It may still be the case that the seller will only ship there as it's needed for seller protection.0 -
I believe, but not sure as I don't sell anymore, that the address that matters most to a seller is the [STRIKE]confirmed[/STRIKE] address in Paypal.
For seller protection, I've changed your post a little.
Confirmed, verified, or not, is immaterial. All that matters (apropos the address) is that is appears on the transaction.0 -

Yes but I have seen threads where the seller posted to the Paypal address instead.
The item is dear enough already without me having more costs to send it onto the address i need it posting to.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
