Do Spring bulbs survive the drought and heatwave?

Options
I'm looking at our flower beds and large pots and wondering whether the Spring bulbs are still viable after this year's Summer. Has anyone got any news, views or expert opinion about this?

Comments

  • I hope so, assuming the leaves were left to die off naturally they bulbs will have been dormant for the summer. This is as nature intended and no harm should have happened to them
Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens
  • If they were planted deep enough, I don't see why not.

But I'd probably put a few more in on the offchance that they didn't, especially if the pots are now full of a concrete like material rather than compost.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Can't see any reason why not. I tip mine out of pots each autumn anyway and replant with new bulbs. Any that are squishy get thrown.
