dead psp

Ok, it's not just xbox woes my son has!
His psp died a few months after he had it (last xmas), the buttons no longer work. My dad who is good with electronics opened the case and looked at the (well, the insides? lol!) and it needs a professional repair. So, in hindsight he's probably voided any sort of warranty now, and i've heard these things are expensive to repair. It is no longer under guarantee either. Any ideas?

Don't understand why if under warranty, your dad decided to open it up.

Otherwise there are many a private computer shops that fix PSP's. just find one locally and see if they can get it fixed.

    He got it last christmas?
return it to the shop they come with 12 months warrenty anyway, cracked screens tend not to be covered but Sales of Goods act the shop should replace, repair or refund if they dont do either of them.

Just avoid telling them that it has been opened they rarely check anyway.

OK how about this then http://continuousplay.co.uk/ Sony's own extended warrenty I cant be bothered to go get the serial number of my PSP to get in to the site to check but they claim very reasonable prices per month.

Sign up leave it a month or so then phone them up claiming it is broke. the only way I can see you getting it sorted for a reasonable price.
