teamaids - are they any good?

I remember having a teasmaid….I studied with the OU in the days when they had TV lectures on BBC2 at far-too-early-o'clock ...and it was before I had a vhs recorder (oh the JOY when that arrived!)
I set the teasmaid up in the vain hope that it would wake me up with a nice cuppa before I grabbed my dressing gown and note pad and went downstairs for my Maths lecture...…
That darned machine quite possibly woke up the whole street. That was one seriously loud buzzer! And it would not wake me up with a cuppa, but halfway through the tea-making cycle, so no refreshing cuppa as I woke either.
Having said that....the clock was brilliant!...and I always liked the look of the machine...it's just a shame it didn't do the job it was made for (and when it DID make a cuppa it was 'indifferent' at best)0 -

I find the teasmaid to be an excellent substitute for the ex. Doesn't argue, doesn't spend too much money, doesn't have 'a very special' friendship. Produces a nice cup of tea just when I want it.0 -

This is when I gave up milk in my tea as most nights I forgot to bring the milk when I filled the water up. Too warm and cosy in bed to get up and wander downstairs and through a cold house to get the milk from the fridge.0

If you prefer coffee, then a filter coffee maker (about £10 for a cheapish one) on a timer woudl seem a better option imho2026 Fashion on the Ration - 0/66 coupons used0
