I've done some searching but wanted to ask people who may know what they are doing - is there a big difference between an Intel 6006u and a 7200u and a 8250u?

I've found a laptop with 6006, 8gb ram and 256gb for a little over £350, whereas to get the other 2 processors I'm looking at an extra £100-200. Is it worth paying more?

CPU isn't the be all and end all. https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php will show the relative performances though.

I have an I5 laptop with SSD and it is lightning fast. It cost £175 because it is a refurb. As it happens it also came with a hookey copy of windows but a £4 licence off eBay fixed that.

if it isn't correct shout.

The only comment I'd make is that it's a pretty low res screen for that money but could be par for the course - I never buy new.
