  • Morning campers, Hi Di Hi ! ( best Ruth Maddock voice there :rotfl:)
Another sun shiny day here :j so we will attack the back garden today.
I did have a lovely "me" time, overdosed on the choc a bit though _pale_, so on my best behaviour re the naughty food today :D. On that subject, tea will be a chicken breast with chips for Mr Fix it and I'll have sweet potato fries and peas, with my chicken.
Mr Fix It is xboxing with the DGS so I'll have to prise the controller out of his hands, just to get him outside and working for his keep :rotfl:. The DGC will be here all day on Monday as they have an inset day, so I expect DGS and Mr Fix It will be gaming quite a bit. The DGD and I have crafting and baking to do, to keep us amused :D. I think I'll have another coffee though before wrestling Mr Fix It to the ground for control of the controller :rotfl:.:rotfl:
Nelski fancy them getting your wine order wrong  Enjoy your Indian meal.
Holly I agree with others, you sound much more calm and in control about the future events.
MaddieM I shall send you some energy vibes. Take care and only do what you can today.
RedRuby I hope your fridge arrives, I have everything crossed.
Csarina I'm glad Mr C has his dentures back and now you are able to understand him :D
    NRA enjoy your day
Gers at least Mum is stocked up now. I shall send some of our sunny weather your way.
    ScarlettR enjoy the picnic
Lainey and Taff hope you get better/sorted soon.
TA sending you and your family, especially Mr TA copious hugs and lots of love as always. Take care my friend.

Hugs to all today. Take care

    nan xx

Having a quiet morning before meeting dd in York this afternoon to go to the cinema.

After deciding I was not going to spend any money this weekend I just found out youngest is staying here tonight and I am cooking Sunday lunch tomorrow. I have defrosted turkey mince and will make a couple of burgers and then go to the shop for salad and rolls as well as getting a chicken or some beef with potatoes and veg.

    Holly

Would having things like quiz or puzzle books be a good idea to take your mind off things?

    maddie

I hope you can have a restful and energy rebuilding weekend.

    Hugs to all

  • Morning, just popping in briefly to wish everyone well, especially those who are unwell or worried.

I'm trying to energise myself to blitz the bathroom but so far, failing spectacularly.

    Good morning everyone :hello:
After getting up at 3am I went back to bed once Steve got up at 6ish and actually slept in till 10am, yay I feel human again. I've also had a wash and got changed so I am ready for the day.

The grandkids are coming to see us later on so I have all the consoles charged up ready :D. My grand daughter is snapchatting me funny pictures all through the day as well which is cute. My kids are all still upstairs but I think they are awake, just hiding in their rooms avoiding chores:D. There is no rush though, I can bide my time, it's not like the dust is going anywhere.

I am going to carry on knitting scarves and hats for a while as I have so much lovely yarn. I am also making the odd little mouse when I get bored. I definitely have enough yarn to use for a lifetime so I am taking it out a carrier bag at a time and doing something with it. My mum popped in the other day and commented that I was the only person she knew who knitted which was kind of sad although there must be loads of us when I look at websites and magazines.

Holly, I hope they look after you properly in hospital. I think you are making the right decision though for you and I am sending you loads of love x
elona, how is slimming world going? I am trying to stick to the principles but it is so hard, I keep craving buttery toast but I will be strong! You are so good cooking all the meals for your DD's, I wish my mum took so much interest in me and my family x

Ho-de-Ho nanny, glad you had a nice time on your own. I always smile when I picture your DH and grandson gaming together. It is a very similar setup here :) x
Redruby, I hope AO gets its act together and you are now in posession of a lovely new fridge freezer. I've had trouble with AO too and vowed not to use them again but the insurance people use them and so I had to put up with them to get my dishwasher. It all went smoothly this time though so I hope the same goes for you x
MaddieMay, just sending you loads of hugs x
Poppy, hope you are feeling a little bit better today x
Taff, I am a bit accident prone too, must be our welshness :rotfl:Hope you can get the dressing redone without too much hassle x
Jackie, you will be glad to see the back of those knitted balls surely, good that you can make a bit of money towards your holiday fund though x
Mrs TA, thinking of you and Mr TA and hoping you can make some memories x

I am having the day off from domestics so I will be either knitting or reading. Steve is planning on making bacon and egg for dinner tonight. We really have to start using up freezer stuff so there will be hash browns too and chips for everyone else but me, no great loss to be honest as I don't really enjoy oven chips. Lee wants to make a cake so he can be let loose in the kitchen provides he cleans up after himself.

I hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

Morning, only time for a quick post as both DGC are here. Its DGD party this afternoon so we have been having a girlie pamper session. Her hair is very long and thick and wavy, looks lovely when its done but takes ages to dry so we did it while DGS was at his football session. He & DS just got back.

We are off into Manchester tonight, watching godson and the band he is in, it's a festival so the tickets let you into multiple venues/bands. We are sharing a taxi with his Mum & Dad ( our besties :)) as the trains are still terrible, not running at the weekends yet from here & the replacement buses take forever.Going for a curry first. We havent been out for what seems ages so looking forward to it.

Holly- I was so sorry to hear you are feeling depressed but what you are going through is such a shock to the system,& at least you are making decisions yourself rather than it being decided for you.I'm glad Nelski will keep us posted. I'll wish you well now for both hospital stays in case you can't see or post .
Also, yes thank you I had a lovely lunch out with 2 cousins and 1 cousin's wife who was going to cancel because my male cousin had Manflu and they were minding 3 yr old DGD.Anyway at the last moment she texted and asked if she could bring her - like we'd say no :D and the little one kept us entertained after getting over being shy.
Continuing hugs to the TAs,and everyone else not feeling well inc. Poppy,Taff,MaddieMay.Csarina glad you can now understand OH :D

Go to User CP towards the top of page, you get a drop down list of the things that can be done from there.
Right at the bottom is Manage Version
Click on that - mine shows old version, I imagine yours will say something different, change version and there should be a way of saving that. (Sorry not going to fiddle with mine just in case:eek:)

  • Good afternoon everyone, I was a bit off the boil this morning, but managed to get to my regular coffee drop in. I've picked up a few things in Lidl to supplement my weekly veg box, and I'm about to set off for the laundry room with my washing. This is a great time to do it, as other residents are out of the building.

I'll be relaxing for the rest of the day, and hope it's a good one for you.

    Hi everyone
Hope you all are having a good Saturday. I have been reading all week but haven't had time to post. I was out of the house early this morning as my doctors surgery had a flu jab morning, no appointments needed. I walked in and arrived just before the start time of 9am...there was a queue of about 30 people! It was very well organised and I was surprised to be out again by 9.15! Called at the supermarket for a few bits and then met my mam and dad in M and S for coffee. I was planning to come straight home, but dad had 'lost' his Kindle off his laptop again. Took me about an hour to sort it. Never mind, he can't help it.
Made a big pan of chilli this afternoon, done a pile of ironing and had a nice long chat with eldest DD in London.
She finished her month long internship yesterday and starts her new 'proper' job on Monday. She's only been in London 6 weeks...she just seems to have settled so quickly.
Youngest DD found out these week that she's been given a tenancy from housing association.... a two bedroomed house. She hasn't been inside yet, but we've looked at the outside and it looks nice, though the last tenants obviously weren't gardeners....both front and back are very overgrown.
Tomorrow she has her scan to find out if she's having a boy or girl. I never wanted to know when I was pregnant but she does.

    Even g all,

I am so late today, have t been doing anything exciting, just Messing on the tablet..... mostly on YouTube, I have missed it.

Cooler here today, went for a short walk this morning...... Came back and had a lovely BLT, thanks to OH, felt that it would last me for the day, until DD2 said that she was taking DGD3 to Maccyds...... ordered burger and chips for OH and myself, thoroughly enjoyed them too, don't even feel guilty. Will be good tomorrow.

Love to the TAs, Holly, Poppy, Lame Wolf, Csarina and anyone I have left.

    Have a good weekend.
