PIP Assessment Report Query

I received my PIP assessment report today after having my medical almost three weeks ago. I haven't received my decision yet but given the suggested points the assessor has put on the report, I only scored 6/7 - so not enough for PIP. Yet on the review section it said it is recommended that my claim should be reviewed in a year to see if there's any deterioration of my condition.
Does that mean I am likely to be awarded PIP for a year despite only probably scoring 6/7 points or does it mean I shouldn't apply again for a year? Sorry if it's a silly question, this is the first time I've dealt with PIP.
Thank you

If the points don't add up to 8 then the recommendation is no award because you need at least 8 points. The year review means that they don't expect your condition to change within the next year, if you decide to re-apply. I'm not sure what you mean by 6/7 points though, it's either 6 or 7?I received my PIP assessment report today after having my medical almost three weeks ago. Usually they go with the report, if this happens then a Mandatory Reconsideration will be your next step but you'll have to wait for a decision.0 -
Thanks for the reply. I said 6/7 because I've used a few different scoring systems online (don't know how legit or outdated some of them are) but judging by the one I used on a benefit help forum, I only scored 7.0

I'm not sure what you mean by this but there's only 1 set of PIP descriptors. See link. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/Global/Migrated_Documents/adviceguide/pip-9-table-of-activities-descriptors-and-points.pdfThanks for the reply. Or just use the PIP self test, which is even easier. http://www.mybenefitsandwork.co.uk/pip/indexxx.php0
