best shops to buy building materials and bathroom fittings

could you guys please suggest best shops to buy building materials and bathroom fittings?
like i read good things about diy kitchens for kitchens. shops like ikea, costco where you can never pay more for the quality you get. i know many people don't like ikea but i am convinced you can't get same quality elsewhere for same price.

similarity shops where i can confidently buy building materials, bathroom fittings etc without lot of research.

any input will be appreciated.

I dont understand why anyone would think they could buy fittings for a bathroom from IKEA, unless you dont mean fittings rather fixtures?

Travis , Jewsons, Grahams are your places to go if you dont want to buy inferior tat from Homebase or the like
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

no, i didn't mean to suggest to buy from ikea.
i just gave that as an example of a shop which you can trust (almost blindly).

I typically use Selco for my building materials.

For bathrooms, my eyes are set on https://www.betterbathrooms.com/ although I never used them.

I can't tell you because the best value suppliers are often local.

All my building materials (heavy side) have come from a local company, who will usually pair my order with others so I don't pay for delivery.

Similarly, another local company gives me the chance to get other things, like bathroom sanitary ware etc at a good discount, to match, or preferably beat Jewsons, Travis et al.

That company aren't immediately obvious as good value, because they always quote list prices on their web site, but the reality is quite different. I only found out from local tradespeople and that's what you should do too.

I went to ikea once, bought a small table. The table was ok but overpriced in hindsight. Ill never go back again terrible shopping experience!
