I have read numerous posts regarding Glide. They all pretty much say the same thing. We have fallen into a trap where Glide are using the 'deemed contract' rule which is meant for use by energy surpliers not split the bill type companies.
So, despite phoning Ofgem to find that our gas was being supplied by Spark Energy. Then subsequently phoning Spark to learn they also supply the Electricity. Then setting up and paying the first months payment to Spark. We too like so many others are contacted by Glide with a large bill for their services from 1st July to date, and are already being threatened with an external collections agency. It's not even the end of the month!
So, what to do next? The other replies on MSE range from - pay up it's not worth getting bad credit over a couple of hundred quid - to send them a letter advising you're having none of it we'll see you in court!
I'm looking to know how other 'reluctant Glide customers' have finished up. Also I'd like to know if anyone has ever asked/got proof that previous tenants have really been Glide customers.
