Statements vs list of transactions?

Hi all
Just curious and quite sure I am missing something obvious here but what is the difference between a bank statement and a List of Transactions dowmloaded from my online account?

Thanks

A list of transactions is a list of transactions.

A bank statement is a list of transactions that usually also has the bank's logo and address on it, along with your name, address, bank details, etc.

If you're asked for a bank statement as proof of address, for example, a list of transactions probably won't cut the mustard. Some organisations won't accept a DIY print of an online statement either.

TeamViewer recommends that users who have been the victim of criminal activities get in touch with their local police departments, in order to report their case. This is particularly important because TeamViewer is subject to very strict data protection and privacy regulations, and can release sensitive data only to authorized individuals and authorities.

Which is a pain in the **** these days, when all my accounts are paperless and I very rarely get anything in the post.

I had one instance a few years ago where I was applying for a loan and had to provide a bank statement. I had a PDF statement which had all the proper information on it, so I printed it and sent them that. They rejected it, so I contacted the bank and asked them to send me one, but again the loan provider rejected it. To be fair the one the bank sent me didn't look any different from the one I'd printed myself.

I won them over in the end but it's needless hassle.

They are not spamming but seem to have accidentally posted on the wrong thread. The correct one is near this.

The bank will have printed it off and sent it, so probably looked the same. Some statements you print yourself will have "online version" watermark but if it didn't strange they did not accept it. If you have a branch you can access, take a copy of statement in and get it stamped, they should then accept that
