I am switching an account with two standing orders to HSBC for the £200 switching offer

Does anybody know if I can cancel these two standing orders as soon as the first £150 is paid or do I need to keep them for the next 12 months for the further £50?

Short answer:

You can cancel them as soon as the switch completes.

Long answer (and one which will help you going forward with any other switching incentives you go for):

The incentive T&Cs are the best place to find the answer to your question. If they don't say anything about continuing to pay them each month then you can cancel them. Do the HSBC incentive T&Cs make any mention of keeping them going for a period of time?

Thanks, I did check the T&Cs and could not see anything, but just wanted to be sure I hadn't missed anything
