Spots on new hob?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this.
We have had a new hob fitted. I used the front ring once with a frying pan (flat botton and dry) and I noticed afterwards the are spots that have appeared under the glass. I've tried a hob cleaner but they are still there. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of them please. They can't be felt on the ring so they can't be scraped off (also worried about scraping the glass). I've tried to take a photo but the pictures are almost impossible to see. I think this one shows them a bit.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I can't see your pic.
I take it that it's an induction hob as you mention glass. You can use Astonish and other friendly cleaners which will not damage - but without seeing your pic it's difficult to work out what's gone wrong.0 -
It looks like the spots may be under the glass, in which case you need to complain to the supplier.
I've got an induction hob with a glass top. A quick spray of general purpose kitchen cleaner and wipe off with a damp cloth is all that is required. Sometimes, with a grubby bottom, I put a sheet of kitchen paper on the hob first. Do NOT do that with a halogen hob.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
Thanks for replying. I bought a hob cleaner but it hasn't worked. You can't feel anything on the hob, it is smooth (as glass!!). The spots appear to be in or under the glass. I contacted the makers and hope they reply soon. It isn't even a week old yet. (I was scared to use it for a few days then plucked up the courage!!)[FONT="]

FWIW , I'm paranoid of those things . I bought one of those many years ago . I found that trying to get the marks off of them was a p I t a . When I moved flat , it was a gas hob that was there ,and I happily embraced it .
In the last flat I was temporarily in , the kitchen had another glass hob . I was too afraid to use it ,incase the landlady said I marked it and started leading off.
I hope that things workout better for you .0 -
Thanks for the advice guys. I've been in touch with the distributor (via contact us page on website, email, then finally facebook) and I'm getting a new one tomorrow.
