It depends!

It comes down to whether there are any bylaws in place regarding the white H mark (access protection marker). In some areas they are purely advisory but in others they will allow a civil enforcement officer (Traffic Warden) to ticket a vehicle that intrudes into the white line.

No, or at least that is not the police's interpretation round here. They take the view it is from the point where it starts to drop.

It should be from the start of the drop. They only give you a few dropped kerbs, and unless you are going straight onto a drive opposite you need some room to turn into the space left down the middle by the cars parked on both sides.

From this thread I detect a hint of scepticism towards the ownership of said car, just a hint or two. Surely if you were going to make it up you'd say it was an R8 Audi or a Lambo or something.
