sim fails registration on nokia n95

can anyone help please, i recently upgraded my phone to the nokia n95, it has a problem, if i do not use it for a while, it loses all sight of the sim card, and tells me to put the sim card in the phone, sometimes it says sim card failed registration, but i dont see how it can be the sim card, as when it tells me to insert sim card all i do is turn the phone off, then back on again, and all is fine with the phone, cannot understand it, i have only had the phone 2 days and this must have happened at least 20 times, does anybody know of a cure, or what maybe causing it, any help gratefully appreciated, many thanks Dave.
